1940's NYC in Colour

Captured by the photographer Charles Cushman between the late 40's and late 70's are stunning street snaps of NYC. The images capture the Big Apple in all of it's gritty glory and show why it proves to be such a nostalgic place for many people to live/visit. Black and white images are effective at times but the colour in these pics are aesthetically phenomenal. Captures the Goodfellas era amazingly well.
